it look fantastic lerr....
i wish the economy would improves for better, then i can indulge in this upgrade... Tongue

Well the official release of course is not out for at least another 8 months maybe.. but don't worry I think it will be very expensive.

And if your machine is running Vista now, I'm sure you don't need to change your hardware to run Win7.

 Grin

ekk... phenom, typo error ar?? will it be very expensive, or it won't be very expensive??

Yup... Win7 was designed to run on existing consumer level hardware... so, no nit to upgrade that much lah...

Ek? What rear audio channels for blu ray playa?

1. sorry typo.. haha if went uncorrected that would have scared some young kids away from Win7

2. I mean surround channels (rear left, rear right).. I'm playing Bluray on my PC using Liteon's BD-ROM drive and PowerDVD 8 with optional BluRay decoder (Ultra Version)

Anyways I got the audio issue fixed, forgot to speficy it under PowerDVD's setting.

addendum:

BluRay do support more than 5 channel audios (mainly advertised 7.1) however most BD movies I purchased (Transformers, Die Hard 4.0, Simpsons, Into The Blue.. to name a few) all come in 5.1 either in form of Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD etc. So far in the shop I only notice chinese movies (surprise surprise) with 6.1 or 7.1 audio.. and the one 7.1 audio movie is non other than Stephen Chow's Monkey King double-disc movie  Grin

don't let earlier perception deceive you..

Been installing vista for friends, family and colleagues numerous times this past 2 years, and it gets easier and easier everytime especially when configuring hardware and other devices..

if you not kiasu and want latest drivers from manufacturer then reinstalling vista should be a breeze, and the whole process should be completed even faster than XP installation by a whole mile  Grin

Yar man.. I'm with ya... what gives... I've also  been away for just a bit (busy with house & work, then office internet like dead or something.. maybe it went on holiday)...

and not much update? heh??

And also, improvement, the need to always improve & move ahead, is the main reason why humankind is currently the leading species in the world (except that we've kind off sinned and pissed on too many other species along the way... we're trying to make up for it.. really... look at our Malaysian primary & secondary schools, full of monkeys, elephants, gorillas, dogs, cats, etc... ... especially monkeys...)
