Hehe... I've also heard about Giant from my bro who was once a resident of Amadesa (now he's residing in Sg Besi, Lakefields)...
I'm just a little surprised no one's looking forward to whatever comes with the hypermarket, like eateries... personally, i'm hoping for a little McD's/KFC.... How about a Starbucks or Old town, just to give Hometown a run for its money ... (not that I have anything against it, but how I wish they would invest some money in insect repellants... hate them mozzies..)
a speedy would be nice... can get some anime/drama... (altho a little pricier than getting from sri petaling/times square, but save from petrol & parking.. so it works out...and we save time from the travelling)...
hmm... what about...a bakery.. yeah... a nice bakery... a gym may be overkill... and a cinema also (expectation too high.. haha)...
and... of course, ample employment opportunities for those lower/middle income families in desa petaling...so they can increase their take home salary while lowering their transportation costs to their place of work (in town or nearby places..)
GOOD FOR DESA PETALING!!!
OH, and yep, our property is bound to increase by leaps and bounds...

Hi, Kelvin, If its not company secrets, perhaps you could share with us what we can expect to find in the new building, besides Giant... any other retailers/shops edi sign up? What services will be available? This would be a form of free marketing/promotion for those companies & yours as well!

the skeletons of the building is slowly being builded up. And suddenly that corner looks very 'filled up'.. haha.. Before that, it was quite a nice view of the highways whenever we were making the turn down the seremban KL highway.

lol @ captain11.... there indeed a skeleton building over the other side of the fence beside the seremban KL highway... kekeke..
cineplex ? that's cool... I hope there would be more eateries, as Desa Petaling seriously lacks of it. Kuchai Lama, Tmn Desa, Sri Petaling, all these neighbouring taman have lots of eateries !

Yup.. totally agree with you on the parking issue... however, we aren't without any hope...
MEI Furniture actually has a lot of parking space, its just a matter of whether one is willing to walk a little distance or not... (This of course is a totally different topic by itself, which we will discuss in another thread).. MEI Furniture has 3 levels of parking... highest level (the one with the car wash) is management by the indians who operate the car wash (I'm not sure if its really theirs or not, no idea how to check).. its RM2 per entry... The lowest level is mainly for the retailers & visitors of MEI Furniture... but the 2nd level, which is where the stage is, that is usually rather empty, and has stairs to the highest level...and it isn't like a few kilometers away.. its just an additional... ermm... 200-300 meters??
And the survival of Giant, well, sort of depends on us, doesn't it? The more we visit & spend there, the better chances of its survival and growth.. which means, we need to pay for its survival... an ironic paradox, no?

if it's really giant, then its good. As i got most of my groceries from either giant or tesco or carrefour. Other than that, i don't think the price of the goods would be low.
I wonder when would the whole building be completed and ready for business ?
